OPERATIONS TEAM

The Columbia Operations Team at Columbia's headquarters in Cyprus is highly experienced in the efficient and safe handling of all types of tonnage and is in constant communication with ships' commands, charterers, brokers, port agents and bunker suppliers. The operations team is acutely aware of the commercial considerations in a competitive environment and is geared to deal with any situation promptly and efficiently.

CONTAINER AND DRYCARGO CHARTERING

Hanse Bereederung is an established company exclusively engaged in providing a full range of competitive container and drycargo chartering and operational services. Hanse covers the whole range of the container-market from around 100 teu up to vessels of more than 4000 teu, specializing in the 200 teu and 2000 teu range. Hanse is responsible for the exclusive chartering of Columbia's affiliated liner service Bengal Tiger Line of Hamburg, which operates container feeder services on several routes in the Bay of Bengal/Indian Ocean. Hanse also handles the chartering-in of vessels for Columbia's Liner services Austral Asia Line and Project Asia Service, running breakbulk and project liner services between Australia and Pacific/Far East/South East Asia.

CHEMICAL AND PRODUCT TANKERS

United Product Tankers:

UPT United Product Tankers GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg, is a leading international operator of product tankers, predominantly trading in Europe, the US, Caribbean, South America as well as Trans-Atlantic. The UPT fleet comprises tankers between 12.700 tdw and 40.000 tdw, the total capacity exceeding one million tonnes dw.

UPT operates a fleet of 15 double/double handy-size product tankers in the UPT Handy Pool. In addition 20 further product tankers are operated under commercial management agreements. In the course of the next two years 10 new buildings will join the UPT fleet and ensure a reliable and flexible service of the highest standard to its customers and partners.
